Begin your morning with our Shakti Energy Flow -- a vinyasa inspired class linking your breath with dynamic movements meant to awaken your body and mind by tapping into that creative energy within.
Shakti represents the feminine life energy that courses through everything in the universe. The earth, the heavens, and all living things are made up of this creative energy as it mixes and dances with Shiva, the male creative energy. This life-giving energy makes it possible to live, think, and act by powering your mind and body with focus and passion.
We begin the class with 15 mins of KungFu Yoga to warm the body and the breath, followed by 50 mins of deep fascial release, while releasing stagnant energy with a little breathwork.
Very healing, very rewarding.
As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginner who has experience, and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends, hip opening, twists, and forward folds.
We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Yogalates combines the muscle-sculpting and core-firming benefits of pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements. You’ll use your body weight to perform a series of continuous, targeted moves to define every single muscle—big and small.
